Hi! I’m Liz Bohan, a licensed therapist in Maryland.

I’m most passionate about helping people understand themselves and the "parts" of them that have caused deep hurt or pain in their lives. I want to help people to be able to rediscover themselves and the parts they have shut out or thought were “bad” for so long. 

I love working with those who identify as being  “sensitive” overthinkers, and those who have a loud inner critic and feel stressed or overwhelmed by life.


How my passion developed

Growing up I felt I was always the “sensitive one”. At times it felt lonely or like I was misunderstood having these “parts” to me that made me feel different.

Years later as I became older and more comfortable getting to learn and have compassion for these sensitive parts of me, my life really transformed.

I realized that being a “sensitive overthinker” is actually my greatest gift, and is what called me to become a therapist.

This gift allows me to deeply empathize and hold space for whatever my clients may bring into my office.

I want my clients to know that if they are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed I am here to help them. If they are feeling alone or that no one understands them, I can be the one to help understand them and help clients understand themselves.

I want to help my clients explore their inner system and get reacquainted with those little parts of themselves they have shut out.

I help my clients discover themselves and learn to love and feel compassion for all of the parts that make them unique.

I want my clients to rediscover what makes them laugh, and learn to slow down and be gentle and more compassionate with themselves and to show up in this big scary world in a way that feels safe, and authentic to them. You are on a beautiful journey, and I would be privileged to go along with you.
